And this one is nothing like your average noisy lawnmower.

Safety Features
Flymo Lawnmower has considerable safety features, to ensure that risk of injury is minimised. It has lift and tilt sensors which cause mower to stop immediately if it is lifted or reaches a tilt angle which could expose the blades. The very tiny blades are also surprisingly far underneath the body of the mower and you would have to reach considerably far under it to come in contact with them.
This Lawnmower also has collision sensors, which mean that whenever the mower bumps into an obstruction it will stop, back up, turn and move in a different direction. As the mower moves quite slowly, no damage will be caused to people in the collision. This is reassuring as it reduces the risk of inadvertent contact with the mower causing injury.
One time Setup
Setting this lawnmover is the only part when you will have to bend down and do some actual work. But thankfully the instruction manual is superb. It comes with diagrams to deal with different garden layouts. If that’s not enough it comes with a errr CD if you have a CD player these days. If not here’s same video on youtube.
Limitations
As this lawnmover was designed early 2010’s it doesn’t even have dedicated app to control it. However be pleased there are 3 a newer version which provide this updated feature. By the way this Flymo Robot Lawnmower 1200R does everything same apart from app support and covers 400 sq m.

Sadly technology in this automatic lawnmoving is not developed at an AI level capability. It is not that smart, it doesnt have any camera or radar sensor to detect which patch of grass is cut already and which odd spot is remaining. It goes in random directions and basic idea is if you let it run for longer it will finish eventually.
Summary
I cherish the time saved on not having to cut my lawn and looking out on freshly cut lawn every day. And the entertainment of seeing this little robot working hard in the garden is priceless. I hope this honest review has provided some useful information and insight into my experience with the Flymo Robotic Lawnmower 1200R. I personally own for 3 years now and I haven’t had to change the battery or blades as it hasn’t shown any sign of degradation in performance.
My main negative is that I still have to maintain the edges of my lawn, as the Flymo 1200R will not cut right till the end of the fence but no lawnmower can anyway. I could not go back to a conventional manual lawnmower as the benefits far outweigh the negatives. And even though its not perfect it does the job better than any human and the energy usage is 10 times less than even an regular electric lawnmower.
